Amrita Pritam was a great poet and writer of the twentieth century, who was rewarded with a number of literary awards, including the most prestigious Bhartiya Jnanpith Award in 1983. She passed away after a long llness on 31st October 2005, at the age of 86. This multilingual collection of her selected poetry is a tribute from the publishers on her 90th birthday.
